Signature of cooperation between VAEA and I2EN

Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency (VAEA) from Vietnamese side and Institut International de l'Energie Nucléaire (I2EN) from French side signed a MOU on 25 January, 2016 in Hanoi to establish the framework of bilateral cooperation for training in nuclear energy sector. This MOU provides that the two sides will set up details for cooperative activities between I2EN, its partners and VAEA and any related Vietnamese organizations proposed by VAEA as well as terms and conditions of cooperation.

Activities to be developed within the MOU framework will be agreed through concrete discussion and agreement. I2EN and its partners will support eligible staffs of VAEA as well as members from the organizations proposed by VAEA in fields of nuclear science and technology, and nuclear energy infrastructure, namely nuclear safety, radiation protection, administration of nuclear knowledge, public information, integrated management system, nuclear power project management, etc.

I2EN offers to Vietnamese staffs for access to programs of studies, training and practice in France, and to hold training courses and develop training materials for development of nuclear power infrastructure. I2EN offers opportunities for Vietnamese staffs to conduct practical works in I2EN partners’ facilities in France, to enhance the exchange of staffs including training works at levels of master, doctor and post-doctor degrees, to implement exchange programs of researchers and experts for training purpose as well as to implement programs of “training of coachers” in France and Vietnam.

The two sides will set up the Joint Working Group for coordination and implementation of cooperative activities in this MOU framework.
